Associate Professor Pınar Bedirhanoğlu works in the Department of International Relations at Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey. She got her PhD in international relations from the University of Sussex in Britain. She has published so far in English and Turkish, and has articles translated in German and French on the politics of capitalist transformation in Russia; the political economy of corruption and anti-corruption policies; state restructuring, state-capital relations and privatizations in Turkey; and financialisation and the 2008 financial crisis. Her most recent research interests include the neoliberal transformation of states’ security apparatuses.
