Professor Cem Başlevent joined faculty at İstanbul Bilgi University, Department of Economics in 2000. He has a B.A. degree in Economics and Mathematics from Franklin & Marshall College, Lancaster, PA, and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Economics from Boğaziçi University in 1996 and 2001, respectively. He has several applied works mostly on labour market and economic voting in Turkey, published in major journals such as World Development, Urban Studies, Social Indicators Research, and Regional Studies.
